April 14, 2022: Donna Mejia receives The University of Colorado President’s Award for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. This annual award honors individuals and units who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and made significant contributions to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion within the University of Colorado community.
April, 1, 2022: Donna Mejia and Ashley Potvin awarded a $24K CU Boulder Outreach and Engagement Grant to support assessment, scaling, and adaptation of Donna Mejia’s Fumble Forward Framework into three key communities: K-12 educators, Denver 7 (ABC Affiliate) Media, and the Dalai Lama Fellows Program.

August, 2021: Donna Mejia appointed to be the Inaugural Chancellor’s Scholar in Residence for the Renee Crown Wellness Institute.
April, 2021: Donna Mejia designated a “Legend of Dance” by the Carson Giffin Dance Library at Univeristy of Denver, CO
April, 2021: Donna Mejia nominated by CU Boulder senior administrative leadership to join the Excellence in Leadership program for 2021-2022.
April, 2021: Donna Mejia honored as recipient of 2021 Outstanding Graduate Mentor Award by the CU Boulder Graduate School!
June 2019: Donna Mejia has been promoted to Associate Professor with tenure at the University of Colorado, Boulder. She now serves as the Director of Graduate Studies in Dance.

Donna Mejia named “Honorary Captain” of the CU Boulder Women’s Basketball Team…
for her positive contributions to student athletes. Donna attended the Omni Hotel Championship Tournament on Saturday, November 29, 2014. She received an autographed game ball center court at the start of the game, sat with the team on the sidelines and watched the Lady Buffaloes win in double overtime!
